Gaby Valentin-Steampunk (gabrielleval), Ownerin der "Cats & Birds Galerie", hatte mich vor einiger Zeit gefragt, ob ich bei ihr einige meiner Fotos ausstellen möchte. Und jetzt ist es so weit.

Einige Worte über mich und meinen Fotos:

Diese Kollektion lädt euch ein, die unterschiedlichen Seiten meiner fotografischen Arbeit kennenzulernen – eine Spiegelung der Vielfalt des virtuellen Lebens, das mich seit Jahren fasziniert. Die Bandbreite reicht dabei von düster und kritisch über verspielt und lustig bis hin zu romantisch und nachdenklich.

Meine Leidenschaft: Second Life & Fotografie

Second Life: Seit meinem ersten Login am 03.03.2007 hat diese Plattform ihre Faszination für mich nicht verloren. Die Vielfältigkeit von Second Life, ermöglicht durch talentierte Ersteller, Sim-Designer, Künstler, Musiker und die engagierte Community, inspiriert mich täglich.

Fotografie: Vor einigen Jahren entdeckte ich meine Leidenschaft für die Fotografie. Mein Fokus liegt auf Landschafts- und Tieraufnahmen, aber auch auf Szenen, die meine „Dunkle Seite“ beleuchten – ein Aspekt, der dieser Ausstellung ihren Titel gibt.

Zum fotografischen Prozess

Ich lege Wert auf Authentizität und die Würdigung der virtuellen Ersteller.

Originalität: Alle Motive werden originalgetreu so dargestellt, wie die Sim-Designer sie erschaffen haben. Ich achte besonders darauf, das regionseigene EEP (Environmental Enhancement Project) zu nutzen, um die vom Ersteller definierte Atmosphäre perfekt einzufangen.

Bearbeitung: Für die Nachbearbeitung verwende ich ausschließlich die Vollversion von Fotojet. Mit dezenten Effekten setze ich das jeweilige Motiv noch besser in Szene, wobei der Fokus stets auf dem ursprünglichen Bild liegt.

Ich freue mich sehr, einen Teil meiner Werke in der wunderschönen Cat&Birds Galerie von Gaby ausstellen zu dürfen und bedanke mich herzlich für diese Gelegenheit.

Welcome to my photo exhibition!

This collection invites you to explore the different sides of my photographic work—a reflection of the diversity of virtual life that has fascinated me for years. The spectrum ranges from dark and critical to playful and funny, as well as romantic and pensive.

My Passion: Second Life & Photography

Second Life: Since my first login on March 3, 2007, this platform has not lost its fascination for me. The versatility of Second Life, made possible by talented creators, Sim designers, artists, musicians, and the engaged community, inspires me daily.

Photography: A few years ago, I discovered my passion for photography. My focus is on landscape and animal shots, but also on scenes that illuminate my "Dark Side"—an aspect that gives this exhibition its title.

Regarding the Photographic Process

I value authenticity and the recognition of the virtual creators:

Originality: All subjects are presented true to the original, just as the Sim designers created them. I take special care to use the region-specific EEP (Environmental Enhancement Project) to perfectly capture the atmosphere defined by the creator.

Editing: For post-processing, I exclusively use the full version of Fotojet. With subtle effects, I enhance the respective motif, though the focus always remains on the original image.
