Ausstellungstipp: "Virtual Horizons" von Susann DeCuir

Plakat: Iris Okiddo

November
Titel der Ausstellung: "Virtual Horizons"

Über mich

Meine Leidenschaft: Second Life & Fotografie

Susann DeCuir

Exhibition Tip: 'Virtual Horizons' by Susann DeCuir

A short while ago, I was contacted by Iris Okiddo (irissweet), who asked if I would be interested in exhibiting some of my landscape photos. Together with Jules Catlyn, she runs a charming little gallery called 'Andante'. Every 5 to 6 weeks, they feature a new Second Life photographer. This time, it's my turn, and I am very grateful for the opportunity.

About Me

My Passion: Second Life & Photography

Ever since my very first login on March 3rd, 2007, Second Life has never lost its fascination for me. Even after all these years, my enthusiasm remains as strong as ever! The reason for this is the incredible diversity of this platform—made possible by so many talented creators, sim designers, artists, musicians, and the dedicated community who bring this virtual place to life every single day.

Some time ago, I finally discovered my passion for photography. My main focus is on atmospheric landscape and nature shots, sometimes enhanced with animal depictions or scenes from various corners of this virtual world.

A Look at the Photographic Process

I place great value on authenticity and respect for the work of sim designers:

Originality: My motifs are displayed faithfully to how the creators built their regions. I pay special attention to always using the region's native EEP (Environmental Enhancement Project) to capture the exact lighting mood and atmosphere intended for the region.

Editing: For post-processing, I exclusively use a single program: the full version of FotoJet. I only use it to bring out the best in each motif with subtle effects, without altering the actual original image.

If you have any questions or would like to share feedback, feel free to reach out to me anytime.

I wish all visitors and interested guests a wonderful time viewing the artwork and a memorable experience in this beautiful gallery!

At this point, a big thank you to the owners of the Andante Gallery, Jules Catlyn and Iris Okiddo, for inviting me and giving me the opportunity to exhibit here.

Warm regards,
Susann DeCuir
